BatchManager is used by organizations to perform automated tasks upon documents being captured and indexed into document management systems.
BatchManager integrates with third-party document management solutions from the following vendors:
BatchManager operates as a Windows service managing one or typically several processing components collecting work from either network share or third-party capture application. Other processing components may integrate directly with the document management application, for example updating index values or routing documents to specific work queues.
The following section describes some of the typical processing components:~
Document Indexing
Supporting Code 39 or 2D data barcode technology, BatchManager integrates with an organizations corporate data-sources, helping to enforce indexing data-integrity while streamlining exception management.
Our Barcoded index page uses a scanner patch-code indicating the start of a document (a collection of pages). Each barcode symbol is read and interpreted to provide an index collection for the document.
These indexing values can then be validated against an existing corporate data-source or web-service, allowing index verified files to enter the document management system without further manual tasks being required.
Document Collation
Optionally, documents can be joined; combining all documents for a specific customer or employee, into a single document set, with newest first or last depending upon the workflow required for a document.
PDF Conversion
Many legacy document management solutions store scanned documents to tagged image format (tif) complying with the industry-standard TIF and compression formats. However, many organizations do not automatically support TIF image viewing. BatchManager can provide bulk conversion of documents to the ubiquitous Adobe PDF format.
Adobe LiveCycle ES Capture
BatchManager supports the capture and automated index & classification of documents received from Adobe LiveCycle ES. BatchManager can capture using paired file and XML definition or from ZIP packaged files. Optionally processed files can be archived to SAN or NAS location.
